World Hope has grown over the years to be a hub that has produced great men and women in society. Having passed through World Hope in some capacity, they have been able to leave a mark in their various arenas. We feel such pride to see some of our students excel in their careers, and even more so when they come back to World Hope to serve.
This term we were privileged to have one of our former students who did her primary exam in 2008, Nancy Kwamboka, come and do her teaching practice with us. She is currently in the University (3rd year) getting her Bachelors Degree, majoring in Biochemistry. She came in for teaching practice and we were so impressed by her commitment and dedication that the High School administration felt she could stand-in for one of our staff who had gone for her maternity leave.  So far she has excelled and we are so happy with her delivery and great interaction with students.
We always take pride in students like Nancy who find time to come back to the Hope Center and pour back knowledge to the continuing students. Her siblings are still studying with us and this shows the level of commitment that such parents have in our program.
It is such success stories that encourage us to keep on doing what we do as Nancy’s teachers can confirm their family background is one that is very needy (Nancy’s mother operates a small grocery shop just a few meters from the school gate while the dad works as a night guard.) To date the mother operates the small grocery shop but thanks to God’s grace and World Hope setting up the platform, Nancy has joined the University, her elder brother is also in University and her 3rd born sister is in her 3rd year of high school with a high chance of joining a university, a privilege that even some of the well off families can’t afford.
As we continue educating her younger siblings at World Hope we only seek to encourage our well wishers that what they invest in never goes to waste and we get to see the fruits of our labor when our students come back to serve in our various ministries.
